I have been trying to give the girls somewhat of a schedule. Going back to the days of college, and actually applying my Child and Family studies degree to good use. Today I tried to make the day circl
ed around birds. The day started off great..the subject on Sesame Street was..... you guessed it ....BIRDS! Wow, couldn't have planned that if I tried. We went outside right after to go bird watching, counting & identifying colors of plastic Easter eggs, and drawing them with chalk. Well....that was for the birds literally and figuratively. Emma could absolutel
y care less, and Madeline threw her plastic eggs on the ground..yipppppeeeee. The harder I seemed to try, the less she was interested. She had more important things to do like sweeping, cleaning the porch, drawing suns, washing hands, and of course riding her motorcycle. In the same moment God had more important things to do with me. He showed me to let go, and let Him work on their little spirits. They had so much fun just being out in the sun. I tried for an hour and a half to find a bird outside, but they must have had a conference that one day :)! Ironically at nap time they were everywhere outside. We were even going to bake some bread so we could use eggs, but Emma & I made a soup instead.
