A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Often when I go places I wonder what they must have been like years ago. I like to picture places in their heyday. Abbeville is full of history and unique places that provide this sort of entertainment for my imagination.

Lately with the girls being sick and the cold weather we have been a little cooped up in the house. My friend Stacie stopped by one afternoon to visit. She is in photography and had a project to do. The weather had warmed up that afternoon so we decided to take a little road trip. About 10 mins. down the road LITERALLY there is a area named Bancker. This was the location of the first church in Vermilion Parish...long before St Mary Magdalene. The church is no longer there but there is a replica of the Ghrotto in Lourdes dedicated to our Lady.

Happy Birthday PahPan!

PahPan, we wish you a very blessed birthday!    Thank you first of all for choosing to be Emma's Godfather.  Thank you also for being a wonderful brother to us.  You are always thoughtful, and go out of your way to make sure we are okay.  We also enjoy our Wed. visits of which Emma raves about for the rest of the day.

I hope your birthday has been filled with love and many blessings.   We hope today and always that you feel embraced by God's most perfect love!

Revenge of the Pink Eye

This week we have a revenge of the pink eye. Emma, unfortunately was his latest victim. With bouts of frustration and aggravation we all made it through with flying colors (no pun intended). It was a great opportunity to teach the importance of hand-washing!
