Joyful Surprise

We were kinda bummed we could not make it to Houston for Bryan & Jonna's wedding. We ended up staying home and BBQ'd. To our surprise Michelle and Shannon invited us over to play. Uncle Shannon had a family day for his job at their house. Once everyone had left we had a fun time in a FunJump, big slide, and yummy crawfish!!! Thank you guys for your generosity we had a blast!

Friday Feast

Tonight we had a great feast. Didi, Aunt Sandra, Nanny Wanda, and the Dupuys had a delicious heap of crawfish. Thank you Didi for such a special treat! It was really great spending time with our family!

Supper Minus 2

Tonight we went to have supper at Maw Maw's.  It was so great to catch up with everyone.  You girls had so much fun playing with your cousins.  Thank you Andre for making tents for the girls.  After playing outside it was time for a delicious supper.  Though we had a great time, it wasn't the same without Daddy and Paw Paw.

A Glorious Day

Today was an absolutely GORGEOUS day.  We were going to pack in as much stuff as possible....

The day started with a brisk walk around A.A. Comeaux Park.  We then came back home and painted., and even made or way in the backyard to the swing set.  Afterwards we got apple juice slushes and went play at Magdalen Square.

Bye Daddy

Things were slow on the job in Lafayette, so unfortunately this meant Daddy and Paw Paw had to work the week in Mississippi.  Though we were sad, we tried to keep as busy as possible to make the week fly by.  I'm sure Daddy and Paw Paw got some good quiet bonding time.  Being daddy was gone, it gave us a chance to learn some geography.

Emma--" Mommy, where's Daddy?"

Mommy--"Emma, Daddy's at work."

Emma--"With Paw Paw?"

Mommy--"Yes, Emma, with Paw Paw."

Emma--"Can we wait outside for Daddy?"

Mommy--"No, Emma, Daddy's in Mississippi."

Emma--"Where Mommy?"

Mommy--"Mississippi"

Emma--"Miss Sippi??"

Happy Birthday Uncle Garland!

Happy birthday Uncle Garland!  How time has passed while we've been having fun!  It seems hard to believe it has only been 3 1/2 years that we have been united.....it just feels like we have been around each other forever.  Even though we could not physically celebrate your birthday with you, we hope you felt the BIG TEXAS-SIZED love we sent to you!!!!  May you truly feel loved each day!  May the Lord continue to bless you and Aunt Michele in all you do.

Garden Update!

Our "little garden" produced it's first fruits.  We had one red, juicy, delicious tomato.  We also have a Bertha bell pepper ripe for the picking.  You girls get so excited to see new buds and enjoy watering the plants daily!!

Three & Cavity Free

Today Emma went for another dental checkup and was still cavity-free....yippee!!!!  We even had lunch with Didi too....How much fun!!!!

Mother's Day

It's hard to believe how much time has passed.  You two girls have grown so fast.  I am so thankful God chose me to be your mommy.   I know can be hard on you guys and get frustrated easily, but every day is truly an unbelievable blessing.  You both light up my life in a way you will never know.  I pray that I can truly be the best mom to you two.

Dinner & a Movie

To celebrate Eric's birthday, mom took us out to supper.  We had a very enjoyable time!!  We also went to have ice cream, and then headed off to Parc International for a movie.  Madagascar 2 was playing tonight for the Outdoor Movie.  Thank you Didi for the wonderful company!! 

Maddie on the Potty

It's amazing how much your life changes when you become a parent...you stress more, sleep less, know almost all the theme songs to your children's favorite songs.....and you rejoice in potty success!  Today Madeline peed on the potty for the first time.  OK, it was probably just a fluke, but I will rejoice anyway!  Way to go Maddie we are so proud of you!!

Can't Resist Crabbing

We just couldn't stay away too long.  We had such a fun time crabbing a couple of weekends ago we couldn't resist.  Thank you MawMaw and PawPaw for letting the girls come play so we could FULLY get into catching our crabs.  You girls got to go swimming in Nanny Chelle & Uncle Shannon's pool & had so much fun.  We migrated, slipped, laughed, prayed, and had SO MUCH FUN!!  Thank you Mom, Nanny Wanda, & Daddy for making it such a fun day!!

Emma's Bday Party

We had such a wonderful day for Emma's party.  Thank you all for coming and making not only Emma's but Eric's day special as well.  Thank you Maw Maw and Paw Paw for letting us have the party at your house again this year!
