Jonna's Luncheon

Today we had a special luncheon to celebrate Jonna.  Jonna and Bryan will be getting married next month!   Jonna, we are so excited to have you in our family.  Bryan is very lucky to be marrying such a gem!

My Dear Sweetpea,

It is so hard to believe you are already three! (though you have been telling everyone you are 2,5,6,7 & sometimes you add 8 & 9 :) ).  You continue to bring us such joy.  I am so in awe of how much you are growing and changing.  You are filled with such joy and energy!  Every day with you girls is fun and exciting!  

I see how much you are blooming and growing.  You are such a wonderful daughter and big sister!  The mere sight of my little ladies makes my heart just melt.  I am so blessed to be the one God chose to be your momma.  Daddy, Madnee, and I LOVE you immensly actually BIGGER THAN THE SKY!!!!

Today, I wanted to make your day totally about you!  You had wanted a bike SO bad.  We had it saved for weeks so you could be surprised!  All day I asked you what you wanted to do...and of course....you wanted to go to the baseball park.  We first went and had lunch with Daddy on his job, and even got to see Paw Paw.  Afterwards you wanted to go have lunch at Didi's and play in her backyard(thank you Didi for even getting her a little cake).  When Daddy came home we surprised you with your bike and cupcakes.   Afterwards, I tried to hold true to what you most wanted to do today..go to the baseball park.  There were no games, only practices.  We stopped by one field and watched for a couple of minutes, but decided to ride by the other fields.  Out of the blue we see Nanny and realized Hunter had practice.  We were able to watch "a game".  Thank You Jesus for making this day extra special.  

You had special birthday wishes from all those who love!  It was such a special day for you. 

Divine Mercy Sunday

Divine Mercy is such a special day for our family. I remember a few years back I went to adoration at Our Lady of Fatima . While in Adoration, I prayed and offered up my future family to Jesus. One year later Eric and I met. We got married...the next year on Divine Mercy Sunday Emma surprised us by her early visit....the next year we took a pregnancy test and found we were pregnant for Madeline.

This week was the first Sunday we had Church at V.C. (Catholic High School ) because St Mary Magdalen Church building is being restored. We were reminded by Fr. Blanda this weekend though our "physical" church is beautiful, we (the people) are the Church of Christ.

By the grace of God the girls were amazing!

Today was also a special day because it was also Maw Maw and Paw Paw's anniversary! We were very blessed to have lunch with them. May you two have many more blessed anniversaries to celebrate!

This morning Emma came up to me and wanted to feed me a Cheerio.  I thought nothing of it until she went to make the Sign of the Cross on my forehead.  Emma forgets to say "..and the Holy Spirit," but I believe the Holy Spirit is working in her little heart. She remembers that at Mass when Mommy and Daddy receive Jesus, the Eucharistic minister usually blesses them.  It's amazing how many times you feel they are not paying attention, but they really are.

HE IS RISEN!!!

Thank You Lord for the Miracle of Your Resurrection! I can only imagine what that very First Easter Sunday was like. Everyone rejoicing that their Best Friend/Son/Cousin had miraculously returned. Their faith had been renewed and a "New" Church was soon to be forming. This Beautiful Moment did not come without struggles, great fear, and sacrifices(even death)! May we always realize that even through each Resurrection there will be pain, but our Blessed Lord will triumph and He will be our Strength!

We were so blessed to have time with all of our family to celebrate such a beautiful weekend!

Easter at Toledo Bend

This year we spent our Easter Tridium in Toledo Bend.  We really had a great time being with our family.   We had fun fishing, catching up, laughing, dyeing Easter eggs, & Easter egg hunting.  With the many changes going on this year, we have not spent much time together.  It was so nice to all be together.  Emma actually even got a chance to help drive the boat with PawPaw!  Mom and dad were so thankful to be able to have moments alone together!

New Job

As many of you already know Jesus has blessed Daddy, Paw Paw, and Parrain Scott with jobs.  Daddy and Paw Paw recently got a job with JL Roberts.  Lord, we thank You answering our prayers.  Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers.  Please continue you to keep us all in your prayers.  I am asking you to please continue to pray for the safety of all those on the job, strength & endurance, their bosses, & enjoyment of their job.  Thank you again and please be patient with us.   

A Day in the Sun

We started the day with morning Mass.  We packed the cars with crabbing supplies and headed out to our "honey spot".  Even though we were late the Lord blessed us with an open spot.  We also migrated to a new spot near Rollover Landing.  We had so much fun.  The girls were so good & patient with us.  Thank you Nanny and Didi for switching little girl duty so mom could crab too.  Our bounty was great, and we even had enough crabs to feed us, Maw Maw, & Nanny Chelle, Uncle Shannon and the boys.  Thank you to all who helped with the fun!

Crawfish Boil

We had such a great time at PanPan & Nanny Cindy's.  Nanny Wanda had treated us to some delicious crawfish.   Thank you guys for being so hospitable.  The kids all played so well.   Maddie and Elijie even got to spend cousin time.
